On Wednesday, the U.S. National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for most of Southeastern Michigan. Wind gusts up to 65 MPH brought down trees and power lines leaving over 230,000 with power in the metro Detroit area. The warning remains in effect until 7:00 p.m. this evening.
